Gallery Furniture refunding $10 million after Astros World Series promotion

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale made good on a $10 million World Series promise Sunday evening.

Back in May, Gallery Furniture announced it would refund customers who made at least $3,000 in purchases if the Houston Astros won the World Series.

Sunday night, those customers were invited to a private refund party where they also had the chance to meet and greet some of the team's star players.

Despite the weather knocking out the power, the event went on as scheduled.

Mattress Mack has made a name for himself with these kinds of promotions, and he recently made national news for his efforts to help out in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
