Fort Bend County Animal Services asking for freeze fosters for the upcoming arctic blast

Fort Bend County Animal Services needs your help sheltering animals ahead of the upcoming arctic blast moving through the Houston area next week.

Fort Bend County Animal Services seeking fosters

What we know:

Officials said 40 of the 150 dogs at the shelter are housed in outside kennels.

While they have heat, with temperatures expected to dip into the 20's, the shelter director wants them all inside, and needs your help to make that happen.

Officials said there's no cost to the foster, who can hopefully keep the dog for at least a few days as the weather moves through.

By the numbers:

Adoption fees are being waived, so fosters who decide to keep the dogs can do so for free.

What you can do:

Details and pictures of the dogs can be found on the shelters' website by clicking here
