MATAGORDA COUNTY - Matagorda County officials confirmed the first presumptive positive COVID-19 case in their county.
The patient is a woman in her 60s who was hospitalized due to complications caused by pneumonia. The woman's test has been sent to the CDC for verification.
Officials report the woman is in fair condition and is resting at Matagorda Regional Medical Center where she is being treated for pneumonia.
