Family marks one year since Jared Chavis' disappearance in Houston, pleads for help
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Friends and family of Jared Chavis gathered for a prayer vigil at Crime Stoppers of Houston on Saturday to mark one year since his disappearance.
Houston police say that on Jan. 12, 2018, the then 19-year-old Chavis met with a man in the 8800 block of Westheimer Road. Chavis was in the back seat of a black Ford Fusion driven by the suspect when they got into an argument and gunshots were fired. Police say, according to a witness, Chavis never got out of the car. He has not been seen or heard from since.
