Candy House owner Don Baker, 89, passes away

Don Baker, the beloved owner of 'The Candy House' in the Woodlands, has died.

Back in November, after hearing the Navy veteran and cancer survivor was in danger of losing his business, a longtime customer asked for help on social media.

Mr. Baker's store was soon met with long lines of candy customers.

Community steps up to help veteran candy store owner

89-year old Don Baker was afraid his business wouldn't make it through the holidays. Long-time customer Danielle Cox shared the news on Facebook and in less than a day got 6,000 shares.

He ran 'The Candy House' for over 30 years.
