Deadly wrong-way crash on I-45 in Houston near White Oak Drive

The Brief

    • Two drivers were killed in a crash on I-45 near White Oak Drive on Thursday.
    • Police say one of the drivers was traveling in the wrong direction.
    • Both men died at the scene.

HOUSTON - Two men were killed in a wrong-way crash on I-45 north of Downtown Houston on Thursday morning, police say.

The crash occurred around 2:35 a.m. in the southbound lanes near White Oak Drive.

According to police, a 37-year-old man was driving a red Honda Fit in the wrong direction and struck a Dodge Charger. 

The Honda driver and the Dodge driver, 31, both died at the scene. Their identities have not been released.

The investigation into the deadly crash continues.
