Dachshunds take over Key West in annual NYE walk
KEY WEST (FOX 13) - Little dachshund dogs were the talk of the town during this New Year’s Eve in Key West.
Now in its 11th year, hundreds of little dachshunds lined up the streets of Key West during the annual dachshund walk. The parade of pups brought and chuckles to the island.
Featured costumes included the character Woody from Toy Story, the Tin Man, a flying monkey, a ballerina and Bob Marley.
The event serves as a prelude to the rest of Key West’s New Year’s Eve festivities, highlighted by the midnight drop of a giant lime wedge that will splash down into a margarita glass to ring in the New Year.
