Criminal history of Drag Queen Story Hour reader

The Houston Public Library is confirming that someone who took part in the Drag Queen Story Hour in September 2018 has a criminal background. The library is apologizing for the oversight and says the person will not be involved in any future programs.

Officials did not reveal the nature of that person's criminal past. During a news conference and protest earlier on Friday, the conservative group MassResistance Texas - Houston called for the City of Houston to end Drag Queen Story Hour altogether.
