You may have heard of Kappa Beach Week and even Black Beach Week down near Galveston. Whatever the week is called, controversy seems to follow.

The latest involves an uprising of those who call Surfside Beach home. They apparently don't want the Surfside Beach Party to return for an eight year. It's a different event from Black Beach and Kappa Beach Party. Those residents online say it causes traffic problems and leads to crime in their otherwise quiet community, but the organizer of the event scheduled for June 23 says the reasons his event is being blackballed by residents is because of that – he's black.

On the Factor to talk about the situation is organizer of the Surfside Beach Party is Marcus Pollard.
