Carlos Correa's fiancé opens up about the moment of the World Series proposal
LOS ANGELES, CA - It was a magical ending to an amazing season, for the Houston Astros after winning the 2017 World Series. For one player, it was an especially magical moment. Houston Astros' Carlos Correa shortstop decided to pop the question to his girlfriend, Daniella Rodriguez, Miss Texas USA at Dodger stadium.
Correa had a trophy and in his back pocket, a diamond ring, after they announced that the Houston Astros were the champions, After that official ceremony, he dropped to one knee and Daniella said, "yes!" Correa said, "You make me the happiest man in the world. Will you marry me? Oh, my gosh!"
FOX 26's Rita Garcia was there for the moment right after Daniella's proposal and spoke to Daniella. Correa's fiance revealed later that she was in absolute shock over the proposal.
“I’m super in shock! Just won the World Series,..and now I’m engaged. All in one day. Game 7 of the World Series so I never expected to have this on mind. I just burst into tears. I had no idea. Thank you so much!"
So what did Carlos say when it came to planning the whole proposal? "I think towards the end of the regular season, I was thinking about it doing it. It was waiting for a special moment like this. It's a big step in my life, but when your mom is putting pressure on you every day, 'She's the right one!' I'm happy about that."
"Mamma knows best!" Correa decided to listen to mamma this time around. Now Correa has two special rings--the ring for the Championship game and a ring that will keep Carlos and Daniella together.
