Family members confirmed to FOX 26 that 47-year-old Jamie Brown was at home when the tornado struck her house.
No one else was inside the home at the time.
When the family arrived 30 minutes later, they couldn't find Brown and the home was destroyed.
Family members describe Brown as a joker who enjoyed fishing.
"This we can all replace," said Peter Bochard, Brown's relative, gesturing toward the damage. "Her, we can't."
The Mayor of Manvel is speaking with the victim's family.
"We’re keeping them in our thoughts and our prayers. I had a close friend that actually discovered the body of the deceased and I know him and his family are processing through that right now," said Mayor Dan Davis.
