Brazoria County storm: 1 death confirmed; tornado reported
Severe weather swept across Southeast Texas on Saturday, and officials are now confirming at least one death.

1 dead in Brazoria County
According to the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office, one person died due to the storm and four people were injured.
Their injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.
The mayor of Manvel said the death occurred along CR 191.

Tornado reported in Brazoria County
The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office says a tornado touched down in multiple areas between Liverpool and Hillcrest.
Deputies are at the scene and closures are in place at SH 35 and CR 191.
- SH 35 from FM 2403 south to CR 192
- CR 191 from CR 172 to SH 35
Brazoria County officials say there are downed power lines and damage to houses.
Alvin storm damage
Storm damage was reported at Walt Disney Elementary School in Alvin.
