Apparent bags of drugs thrown out window during vehicle chase
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - A male and female have been arrested after leading police and deputy constables on a vehicle chase into southwest Houston. The driver and passenger were seen thrown what appeared to be bags of drugs out of the window of Jeep.
Harris County Precinct 5 deputy constables tried to stop the driver of the Jeep for a traffic violation on Beltway 8 near Bellaire Boulevard at around 2:45 a.m. Monday, but the driver refused to stop. Houston police later joined in the pursuit near the intersection of the Southwest Freeway and Bissonnet Street.
The chase lasted almost 45 minutes and ended on Twin Hills Drive near Consuela Drive. The male driver tried to run away from the Jeep but was apprehended. The female passenger remained inside the vehicle.
Both the driver and passenger were in possession of handguns.
