FOUND: 13-year-old last seen in Galveston found in Missouri

A missing 13-year-old was found safe in Kansas City, Missouri, according to Hitchcock Police Department.

Hitchcock police say the 13-year-old was located with the assistance FBI Houston, FBI Kansas, and the Kansas City Police Department.

She was said to be found with a non-family member adult male in an apartment complex. According to investigators, officials revealed the 13-year-old was possibly in the Kansas City, Missouri area and a coordinated effort began to locate her.

No information on the adult male will be released at this time.

The 13-year-old is currently in the custody of the FBI until a time in which Hitchcock Police Department can retrieve her and bring her home to her parents in Hitchcock.

She was last seen in Galveston. According to the Texas Center for the Missing, she disappeared sometime Friday, June 9 around 4 p.m. 

Investigators said she was last seen getting into a silver 4-door Toyota Camry with an unknown Black man, who appeared to be between 40-50 years old. No description was shared on the man she got in the vehicle with.

She was last seen wearing an oversized gray hoodie, black shorts, and slippers. She has also been described as 5'5" and weighing about 150 pounds with brown eyes, black hair, pink and blue braids.
