Children of mother run over, killed by purse snatcher at a McDonald’s are praying for justice

Martha Medina was run over and killed Thursday after her purse was snatched at an east Harris Co. McDonalds. FOX 26’s Randy Wallace speaks with her family who is praying for justice.

Officials say a second man, linked to the murder of a woman run over and killed at an east Harris County McDonald's in September, has been arrested. 

According to Harris Co. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, Felton Ford, 39, is believed to have been driving the black Chevy Impala that killed Martha Medina.

He is the second man to be arrested in connection to her death after Andrew Williams, 40, was arrested in October.

Family members of woman killed by man free on bond wants justice

Another grieving family is demanding justice after a man who was out on bond is accused of robbing and killing a 71-year-old woman in east Harris County. That woman's daughters spoke publicly Friday pleading with judges to stop letting criminals go free on bonds.

The 71-year-old Medina was said to be leaving the restaurant with her food when someone took her purse. The suspect, now believed to be Ford, then ran over Medina as he fled the scene.

Ford is charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
