Officials said the child's mother came home around 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon and was looking for her child.

Authorities said the mother calls the sheriff's office after checking the neighborhood, but it was too late as the child was found in a neighbor's swimming pool, adjacent to the child's home.

Officials added that an older adult brother was at home with the boy.

No charges have been filed in connection with this tragedy.
