4.6-magnitude earthquake recorded in the Gulf of Mexico
A 4.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake was recorded 181 km SSE of Buras-Triumph, Louisiana, in the Gulf of Mexico around 16:47:09 UTC, USGS says. It was recorded at a depth of 10 km.
According to the National Weather Service, there is no tsunami threat from the earthquake.
