3D-printed gun activist Cody Wilson bonds out of Harris County Jail
The owner of an Austin-based company that sells blueprints for 3D printed guns has posted bond.
Cody Wilson, 30, was taken to the Harris County Jail early Sunday morning after being arrested in Taiwan. His bond was set at $150,000.
According to the U.S. Marshals Office, Wilson is facing a sexual assault charge for allegedly having sex with an underage girl in Austin.

The charge follows from a 16-year-old girl who told a counselor about a paid sexual encounter between the two.
According to the U.S. Marshals Office, a police investigation determined Wilson initially engaged with the girl online and met her at a coffee shop before going to an Austin hotel. Police say Wilson allegedly assaulted the girl at the hotel and paid her $500 in cash.
Wilson's attorney Samy Khalil of Gerger, Khalil & Hennessy released a statement Sunday night saying, "We are glad that Cody is back in Texas again where we can work with him on his case. That’s our focus right now, representing our client and preparing his defense."
