3-month-old infant in Katy dies after apparent severe trauma, authorities investigating
KATY, Texas - The Harris County Sheriff's Office said a 3-month-old infant has died after what appeared to be severe trauma.
Deputy Investigator Mills with the Special Victims Unit Child Crimes Against Children said deputies responded to an unknown medical emergency involving a three and half month old who was found unresponsive in the 1700 block of Penmark Lane, just after 3:45 p.m.

Officials said deputies tried to render aid to the three-month-old for a few minutes while waiting for a helicopter to arrive.
She was airlifted to the hospital, but she later died.
No suspect information was released.
