An argument outside of a Houston Denny’s led to an incident that spanned several miles and left three women shot, police say.
According to police, the incident is believed to have begun outside of the restaurant along I-45, where the women, who were getting into an Uber, were involved in a verbal confrontation with the suspects.
At some point, one of the suspects fired a shot into the air, and the Uber driver drove away with the women, police say.
Authorities say the suspect followed them to another location, where a suspect fired on their vehicle and then took off.
The Uber driver then took the women to a gas station in the 20400 block of Kuykendahl Road near Eagle Bend Drive. They flagged down Harris County Pct. 4 constable deputies for help.

Police say the three women were injured in the shooting and taken to the hospital. They were last reported to be in stable condition. The Uber driver was not injured.
The suspects were possibly two Hispanic men and a Hispanic woman, police say. They are believed to be 18–23 years old. Authorities say they were dressed in Halloween costumes, two of them dressed as Harris County inmates. They were reportedly in a white sedan.
The investigation into the shooting continues.
