12-year-old boy seriously injured in crash on Tomball Parkway

Authorities say a 12-year-old boy was seriously injured after a crash on the Tomball Parkway.

Deputies responded to a crash on the Tomball Parkway near the Beltway around 11:40 p.m. Thursday.

A witness told investigators that an SUV was either stalled or moving slowly in an outside lane with emergency lights on, and the driver of a white car crashed into it.

Deputies say a woman, 12-year-old boy and a 3-year-old were in the SUV. The woman and 3-year-old child were said to have not been seriously injured. The 12-year-old boy was taken to the hospital.

Two women who were in the white car were taken to the hospital to be checked out. Authorities say deputies are investigating any possible impairment.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances leading up the crash.
