Houston siblings, 5 and 7, hope to be adopted together
HOUSTON - Sadly, thousands of children spend Christmas in foster care, many of them eligible for adoption and just waiting for a family to come forward. This month, Anchor Sally MacDonald met two siblings looking for a family to adopt them together.
Arianna is 5-years-old. She is very bubbly and social.
"Arianna is the life of the party. She likes to be where the people are. She's going through the 'me too' phase. If you like it, she'll like it. She wants to participate," said Ashley Garner, Director of Donor Engagement for Depelchin Children's Center.

Her big brother, Jordan, is 7-years-old.
"It takes him a little bit to warm up, but he loves to be with his sister. They have a blast playing together," said Garner.
Jordan also really loves Legos. We surprised him with a new set when we visited the Gingerbread Village at City Place in Spring.
They wound up in foster care in 2022 due to neglect. Parental rights have now ended and Depelchin Children's Center says they are looking for a family to adopt them together.

"They like pets and adapt well, so whether it's just them in the home or with other kids, the most important thing is that they're together," said Garner.
"If you want to go through Depelchin, the first thing you do is attend an orientation, then there's an application process, and after that, training and a home study."
The adoption process usually takes three to six months. To adopt Jordan and Arianna, email gettingstarted@depelchin.org
