1 teen dead, 1 teen critically injured in drug-deal shooting: police

Houston Police are investigating a shooting that left one teenager dead and another in critical condition.

Investigators say just after 11 p.m. Saturday, there was a report of a shooting in the 10600 block of Jordan Heights Drive.

Police say two people met up in the street to do a narcotics deal. During the deal, one teen pulled a gun on the other. The other teen was also armed. They shot each other.

Emergency responders found one teen at the scene. He was taken to the hospital and is now listed in critical condition.

The other teen got into a vehicle his sister was driving. They drove to a gas station in Little York where they flagged down officers. Emergency responders tried life-saving measures, but the teen died from his injuries.

Officials say both were in their late teens.

Their identities have not yet been released.
