Morning rain and storms dumped around a half-inch to two inches of rain across SE Houston. Gusts near 60 mph were also reported in Palacios & Galveston. Weather should stay quiet through tonight with only a 10% chance for a shower or storm. Severe storms are not likely. High pressure builds in which should keep us hotter and drier the next few days. Spotty storms will return early next week on Monday with a slight drop in temperatures. Atlantic, Caribbean & Gulf of Mexico remain quiet with no activity expected for the next 7 days.
