Houston weather: Spotty showers in Houston

We are now in the second week of hurricane season and no tropical cyclone formation is expected over the next few days. However, long range models indicate a big plume of tropical moisture tracking north into the Gulf of Mexico later this week. There's also at least a low possibility of a disturbance or weak area of low pressure that could develop in the Bay of Campeche or Gulf of Mexico by this weekend. We are still several days out and this could change. But definitely be ready for an increased threat for rain in Houston by Sunday and Monday. Check FOX Local for the latest on hurricane season developments!
