A World War II veteran is making his second journey on foot across the country, starting in Georgia and eventually ending in California.

AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 26) — The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded nearly $4 million to the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) for help with search and rescue operations following Hurricane Harvey.

The Homeowner Assistance Program, administered by the Texas General Land Office, was created to assist homeowners with repairs still needed on homes damaged by Hurricane Harvey.

It’s been a staple here in Houston for decades until Hurricane Harvey hit, and in an instant the Wortham Theater was shutdown.   The Wortham had been closed for 13 months, but it is now reopen. We were one of the first welcomed inside to see the theater’s multi-million dollar makeover.
