MASON, Mich. (FOX 13) - Snowy conditions and chilly temperatures might make some miserable, but not so much for others.
Bella, a rescue horse from Hope Equine Rescue in Auburndale, may be from the Sunshine State, but she was clearly enjoying the white blanket of snow in Mason, Michigan.
Bella’s owner, Stacey Pierce Dadd, a former teacher at Ridge Community High School in Davenport, Florida, shared Facebook video of Bella rolling around in the snow and shaking off the flakes from her mane. She says it was her second year living in the snow, but her first experience with snow actually sticking to the ground.
Dadd writes, “Bella's been dreaming of a white winter and she finally got one this week.”
She tells FOX 13 News the farrier at Hope Equine Rescue recently returned from Puerto Rico where he was helping the Humane Society of the United States take care of horses through the post-Maria conditions.
According to the National Weather Service, Mason will see at least two inches of snow on Monday. Snow showers can continue throughout the week.
