Harris County crime: Man arrested following incident where a deputy fired multiple times

HOUSTON - A man is in custody after a deputy had to open fire on Tuesday afternoon in Harris County, officials said. 

Officials said it all started when deputies received a call for service in the 12700 block of Telge at the Creek Wood Bar and Grill in reference to a terroristic threat.

When deputies arrived, they met with the reportee who advised an Asian male suspect made several threats to his daughter with pictures of firearms on the phone. 

Authorities stated that while speaking with the reportee, the suspect arrived on the scene in the parking lot. 

Officials said the deputies approached the suspect's vehicle where they attempted to get the suspect out of the vehicle by making several loud commands. 

The suspect then attempted to flee the scene and the deputies perceived a threat in which one of the deputies fired his service weapon several times toward the suspect vehicle, authorities said.

The vehicle continued to flee in his vehicle and crashed out in a parking lot nearby, officials stated. 

The suspect was later apprehended and wasn't injured in the incident. 

No one was injured in the shooting. 

The suspect was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and evading.
