HBU senior linebacker passed away over the weekend

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - The Houston Baptist University community is mourning the loss of senior linebacker Garrett Dolan.
Dolan passed away on Sunday. No details have been released at this time as to what caused his passing.
“All of us at HBU mourn the death of Garrett Dolan. He was an outstanding student and athlete. We ask for prayers for the students, staff and faculty who knew him best and especially for his family, “ said HBU President Robert Sloan.
Dolan was a two-time All-American, four-time All-Southland Conference selection and posted the seventh-most tackles in Football Championship Subdivision history.
"The entire HBU community is grieving," said the university's Athletic Director Steve Moniaci. "We know the Bible tells us that for each of us there is a time, we are saddened that his time came so young. We pray for Garrett, his family and friends; and for his teammates and classmates as we all work to understand this loss."
Details of Dolan's memorial service arrangements will be released later this week.
