Search warrant performed at center where Conroe priest received treatment
SPLENDORA, Texas (FOX 26) - Investigators say a search warrant was performed in connection to the investigation of a Conroe priest, Father Manuel La Rosa-Lopez who is accused of sexually abusing children. The warrant is being executed at Shalom Center in Splendora, where the Conroe priest received treatment after sex abuse allegations.
La Rosa-Lopez is a former priest at Conroe's Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and he's accused of sexually abusing 2 nearly 20 years ago. He was recently charged with four counts of indecency with a child in Montgomery County. The Shalom Center is located at Morgan Drive in Splendora.
