Texas EquuSearch searching for 4-year-old Maleah Davis in haunted house in Rosharon

Texas EquuSearch is looking for missing 4-year-old Maleah Davis at a haunted house in Rosharon Tuesday.

The search exapnds after USPS confirmed Derion Vence, the ex-fiance of Maleah's mother Brittany Bowens, was an employee at a local USPS in Rosharon from June 13, 2017 - August 16, 2018.

Texas EquuSearch coordinators say they got information from law enforcement instructing them to search in the area for anything that might point them towards Maleah’s whereabouts.

Search crews have been riding four wheelers in the field around a haunted house business.

Texas EquuSearch coordinators say they heard Derion Vence worked a mail route in Rosharon at some time in the past.

“All we look for is something that doesn’t fit in,” says Jack Boggess with Texas EquuSearch. “We look for clothing, shoes, whatever. Just something that doesn’t fit in, and that’s what we key on.”

Friends and family of missing 4-year-old Maleah Davis are focusing their search on Sugar Land today in the area surrounding Vence’s workplace.

Vence, the ex-fiance of Maleah's mother, is charged with tampering with evidence, specifically a human corpse.

Vence was due to appear in court yesterday, but the hearing was rescheduled. Yesterday, a judge also lowered Vence's bond from nearly $1 million to $45,000.

Anyone with information that might help solve the case of Maleah’s disappearance is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. You can leave an anonymous tip.
