Student with gun arrested at League City school
LEAGUE CITY, Texas (FOX 26) - A student was arrested at Clear Creek ISD, after they were found with an unloaded handgun on campus Monday morning.
A letter was sent to parents of students at League City Intermediate, letting them know of the arrest.
According to the letter, another student reported the weapon to an Assistant Principal.
The student in question had not been to any classes and was in the Student Center at the time the weapon was reported.
A Galveston County Sheriff Liaison Officer, who is stationed at the campus, arrested the student.
The school's principal said, "maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for students at League City Intermediate is our top priority."
School is continuing as scheduled.
