METROLift driver shot in north Houston
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - A METROLift driver is in critical condition after he was shot early Monday morning.
It happened at a Shell station parking lot on the 2800 block of Quitman St. in north Houston.
The owner of the gas station said the 22-year-old victim stops there regularly in the mornings to get coffee and use the restroom.
He was shot in the upper right torso by an unknown suspect.
No passengers were on board the bus at the time of shooting.
The victim was taken to Ben Taub for medical care.
He is out of surgery and is stable but remains in critical condition.
