Houston crash: Porsche crashes into tree on Briar Forest Drive, 1 killed, another injured
HOUSTON - An investigation is underway following a deadly crash in West Houston on Wednesday afternoon.
Officials said the crash occurred in the 12400 block of Briar Forest Drive just before 1:30 p.m.
Authorities said a man driving a silver Porsche Macan was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree in the median.

Officials said the impact from the crash caused the Porsche to catch on fire.
The driver was pronounced dead on the scene.
A passenger in the vehicle, a 21-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
